Part A
For part A, I followed the assignment while still trying to learn and enjoy the software. I had the hardest time with realizing that command+copy and the copy command were different, because I kept trying to press command+copy and then it wouldn’t do what I wanted.

Part B
For part B, I was pretty overwhelmed by some of the surfaces in lecture and had a hard time understanding what they actually did. I ended up having the hardest time with network surface, but thankfully was able to figure it out thanks to Emily. I think that ending up working with surfaces with solids helped my understanding of surfaces and why they are needed.

What I am still confused about is how to simultaneously scale the curves and solids together. Additionally, I am confused about how to pan. I keep trying to hold a button like shift while clicking and dragging but I have no luck.
I drew the two revolution objects from the front, top, and side,

and then altered and remodeled them. I used boolean difference with other objects to cut what I wanted out of it.

Part C
For part C I had the hardest time with cap. I kept trying to do it with different shapes and the only ones I could get to work were paraboloids. However, I had fun trying the solids and making them look pretty crazy. I think my favorite was offset surface because those ended up being some of the most interesting ones, although pipe was fun to make really extravagant objects.
I definitely need to keep working on keeping my curves, surfaces and solids in different layers. At first the curves were bothersome so I would delete them, which I later realized is not good practice.

Part D
I initially thought that a cube with a paraboloid cut out of it. I also wanted to try other shapes, but I decided to go with something that could potentially be functional for me.
I was thinking that I could put small plants into it. After printing, I realized it was probably too shallow for most plants and I redesigned it to be taller, with the same general shape. I used scale 2D then scale 3D to reshape the original cube.

This is my cube that I 3D printed, I enjoy how small it is and I like the options for fill, I used cross.
