Reflecting back on Project 1, I have a lot of different ideas but overall I got it done, and made it work with the limited time I had.
Creatively I think I did well on this project. I definitely had large aspirations and I think that I am often held back by my technical ability. I do think that aiming high is beneficial in terms of getting as far as possible and not thinking in a technical way allows one get as far as they can and ends up going beyond what may have thought to be impossible before.
Tactically I did more than expected, but not as well as I wanted or what I had aimed for. I think my creativity often goes beyond what tactically I can handle, or have time for. I am happy that I learned more about how to use a library, as frustrating as it was, it felt accomplishing to get there.
Time wise I spent a lot of time figuring out the library. I wanted to put more time into the information and content. I am glad I got the library working, but I am frustrated with how long it took. I would definitely start earlier next time with the library.
What went well, I am glad that I got the library to work, and I think the fact that it looked similar to vinyl flipping was really successful. I also think that the text aligned well, and colors changing between different slides made it look like things were moving.
What didn’t go well, I wanted to do something different with the color scheme. I thought that the colors were okay, but looking back it would have been more interesting to have had a stronger color palette. I also think more content and working harder on the front page would’ve been cool.
For future projects I would start figuring out the library earlier. I would also allot more time for figuring out everything I needed to do and making sure I got through what I needed to. I also think starting earlier on breaking down what I needed to do would’ve helped, it definitely was overwhelming and that hindered me from getting started.
